Yesterday afternoon, driving into town, I passed a nice house on the right, which caught my eye. In the driveway were two police cars. Standing in a circle talking were three officers speaking to a nicely dressed woman, the homeowner I presumed.
In the distance, near the house was her husband, still wearing his long black coat. He was lost in a daze--or shock it appeared. I spent a good part of last night wondering what they had discovered inside their home, upon returning from work.

Why does that story give me the creeps? And could you please find out what they found? I need to know!!!

It leaves me feeling unsettled as well. (sorry Hallie to give you the creeps--that's no fun!)
I can only assumed there was a robbery. I'll find out in a week from our weekly paper.
Now I need to know too. When I see stuff like that in passing my brain goes into overdrive.
And thanks for stopping by my blog!
Yes ... now I am wondering too!! I hope it wasn't anything really horrible - you know?
This morning, our local police came up to my house and when I saw him it made me so nervous - I couldn't imagine what he wanted and I got scared that something might have happened to my kids or my husband. Thank God ... he only wanted to drop off a Christmas Card - a card from the force. Couldn't they just mail it - like everyone else.
Have a good day and thanks so much for coming by - come back again. See you soon. Kellan
Hi Tod, nice to see you!
kellen, that is funny, no the postal system would have been a little too easy and stressless (for you!) hehe!
I love people watching and making up stories about what I think is going on in their lives.
I wonder what the real story was behind that situation.
I am with Hallie..... I got the shivers reading that.
Fabulous photo though!
Thanks for popping by my blog, love seeing new faces :)

Love the photo! Report back...
this is a lovely photo. I'm glad to have discovered your blog. I'm thinking of transplanting myself from SF Bay Area to Michigan, and trying to remind myself of the "joys" of snow. Your enthusiasm reminds me of the good parts!
ok, I explored further, discovered the glass stuff, googled frit.
Question: I see that adding frit to clay lowers the firing temperature. Do you know if it affects the strength?
hey Heyden, yeah I miss SF a bit now and then, as a native I knew no other way than the California way. I now love the 4-seasons, all the vegetation and trees, a time when the holidays really feel so because of the snow and old architecture. Now I can't imagine it any other way, I do love Pennsylvania! (bundled in 6 layers as I type).
About the glass/clay, I know glass and it's melting temps, but I know nothing about clay and it's compatibility, I'm sorry!
thanks for the response, I'll search further!
Eerie tale. Lovely photo.
maybe they just lost their parakeet or something....
I'll read the weekly on Tuesday and find out what happened.
We could all add a sentence or two and keep this mystery going for awhile! Anybody want to play? If I start, you know it will be something about blueberries!
annabella, let's do it! You start....
Her husband standing there in a daze, wondering how the blood stains appeared on his shoes and hands.....blood? Could he get away with telling them it's blueberry juice? Would they believe him?
annabelle, ooh, you're good! Val
panic is setting in! what are they talking about? should I go back in the house?
thanks, Val! this is fun!
"Why is the neighbor lady talking to the police? Where is my wife? She always handles things when there are problems."
annabelle, minnie, oh my, you guys are good at this! The paper comes out tomorrow, I'm sure the 'real' story won't read anything like these! :o) Val
"Oh, my God, where is my wife? I have not seen her this afternoon....oh.... no I hope she is alright...where is she? where is she? where is she? What are these stains on my hands......oh, no.........what have I done"
"Mr. Anderson, come with us please".
"No, where is my wife? Where are you taking me?"
and he could voices..."that's him, that's him!"
it looks like my weekly paper comes out tomorrow instead. Hopefully the 'real' story, will be in there. Thanks for your story telling!
